Skin infection

(18/12/08 13:16:23)

I have a herpes infection on the right side of my back just above my buttock which started over 20 years ago with very small blisters which were itchy. Over the past 20 years the clusters erupt every several months and move about, more or less keeping to the areas of the waist line and sometimes erupting further down and erupting on the buttock itself. I apply surgical spirits to help it subside. I have seen a doctor who perscribe antibitic cream, or acyclvir cream. How did I get infected? Is there any permanent solution?
