What are Panic Attacks?


A panic attack happens when your body overacts to a normal situation that does not need such a severe reaction or response.

As though you were at risk of attack yourself or serious harm.

Panic attacks can occur in a seemingly normal situation, which exaggerates the inappropriateness of the sensations and reactions.

Your body prepares you to deal with the threat and releases adrenaline into your blood stream to enable you to flee the situation, “fight or flight.”

This can happen within seconds and can have numerous physical and emotional responses upon your body during your panic attack.
