Prolonged exposure to high levels of anxiety can lead to more severe problems such as gaining or losing weight, an inability to sleep or feeling constantly tired, or a lack of interest in daily activities. Any of these can affect our relationships and may lead to feelings of depression.

Some people choose to become more isolated when they feel anxious and can withdraw from engaging in social contact or unnecessary interaction. Anxiety can affect the level of intimacy within partnerships and create barriers.  In these cases it will often alter individual's sex drive and sexual function.

The longer the feeling of anxiety continues without help being sought the more likely it is that it will affect confidence and self esteem. In more extreme cases individuals can become more confused about their role and purpose in life, loosing their self-belief and doubting their abilities.  If you need someone to listen and understand how you are feeling, contact us today, we are waiting to help.
